After abandoning a musical career after graduating college, Kalil's interest in opera was reborn in the Yakima Opera Company in 2008. His success and pleasure in filling The Seasons Performance Hall with pitch-perfect renditions of such classics as "Nessum Dorma" quickly became the stuff of local legend. His own pleasure at singing was matched by his awed listeners who had never heard such a voice!
