A rare performance of works by two of Jazz's most inventive composers.
SRJO is the Northwest's premier big band jazz ensemble. Founded in 1995, the 17-piece big band is made up of the most prominent jazz soloists and band leaders in the greater Seattle area. Six of those incredible players will make the trip to Yakima to highlight the gorgeous and quirky works of one of the greatest of American composers, Thelonious Monk. As well, the mind-bindingly cool works of Miles Davis will be featured. The concert will be live-streamed and feature a limited live audience, if permitted by health guidelines.
