In the book, when Fish and Wildlife police officer Luke McCain begins to suspect that a serial killer is prowling the scenic Cascade Mountains of Eastern Washington, he will need all of his knowledge as an outdoorsman, and his instincts as an investigator, to stop the killer before he strikes again.
