And then VANDERMEARS is playing great guitar driven Rock music on Saturday, 7-10 PM. Only a $5 cover charge on both nights. Because of steadily relaxed COVID restrictions and customer input, we are moving our live music on weekends to the pre-COVID 7-10 PM hours. We are still at 50% capacity but this has not been a problem so far, and there is plenty of outdoor seating if you so choose. Masks are optional indoors if you are vaccinated. If you come for the music and say you saw this e-blast, we'll give you $1 off your first glass of wine or $3 off the regular price of one bottle of wine! You are now incentivized!!

Killdeer String Band at The Seasons Performance Hall

07:30 PM

The Seasons Performance Hall

Formed in the foothills of the central Washington in 2016, the Killdeer String Band is a four-piece instrumental acoustic group that performs a mix of original and traditional music, with a signature high-energy delivery.

Playing a range of styles from Irish to gypsy, and Bavarian to bluegrass, they have focused on creating an honest blend of music the members love to play. With roots in traditional Celtic fiddling and classical violin, Jenny Humphrey contributes soaring melodies and dynamic swells. With a background in Turkish oud and Hindustani classical music, guitarist Josh Humphrey provides backing harmonies and melodic counterpoint. Comprised of brothers Jacob Gibbens on percussion and Justin Gibbens on upright bass, this rhythm section drives the group with their 20+ years of combined experience playing in a variety of rock and jazz projects.

While contending with the restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Killdeer String Band focused on recording and producing their second full-length album, Wise Fools at Velvetone Studios with support from the Ellensburg Arts Commission. As restrictions continue to lift, they look forward to the opportunity to share songs from this studio project and other pieces from their repertoire. Whether it’s an Irish jig or an instrumental cover of Hey Jude, the Killdeer String Band explores the delicious sonic boundaries of traditional acoustic music.
