Yakima Pride Festival & Parade

Yakima Pride

Located in the Heart of Central Washington, Yakima Pride Festival & Parade is a celebration of the LGBTQ+ community in the Yakima Valley. Yakima Pride represents and promotes unity, equality, and diversity by celebrating, educating, and demonstrating to bring people together in the spirit of open celebration of community. PARADE KICK-OFF 10:00AM Following in the historic tradition of Yakima's Sunfair Parade; the Yakima Pride Parade will follow the familiar route of more than one-and-a-half miles through Downtown Yakima on Saturday, August 21st. The parade is expected to include the various floats, walking groups, bands, affirming companies and local businesses entries with various vehicles as it makes its way down Yakima Avenue from 18th Avenue to Naches Avenue. The 2021 Yakima Pride Parade will begin at 10:00am and is expected to last for about 1 hour. FESTIVAL 11:00AM Yakima Pride Festival will take place on N Naches Ave (between E Yakima Ave and E Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.). The festival will be utilizing the center park area on this street for all our attendees! Our Main Stage will be located on Pendleton Way between The Seasons Performance Hall and the Yakima Pride Office. You can expect LIVE Music, Drag Performances, LGBTQ+ Speakers, and much more! • If you would like to sponsor the Yakima Pride Festival & Parade, please send us an email at hello@yakimapride.org. We will be updating this event as the planning commences. Thank you for your patience. Our Letter To The Community: We need community and connection more than ever and this gives us an opportunity to both connect and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community’s resilience in the face of this pandemic and the true spirit of Pride. The coronavirus pandemic has prompted the cancellation or postponement of hundreds of Pride celebrations around the world. The unprecedented challenges of COVID-19 mean that most Pride celebrations will not take place or take place during the month of June as planned in 2021, but we’re determined that this won’t stop us from coming together as a united, strong LGBTQ+ community. Please join us, share us, invite your friends, your family, and everyone that needs to celebrate you! #YakimaPride 🏳️‍🌈
