Raise the Baton

The YSO’s annual fundraiser, Raise the Baton, has been reconfigured to accommodate the new temporary reality of our ‘virtual-only’ environment. In March, we extended hope that we would be able to gather in person in June to celebrate the YSO at Raise the Baton. Our priority is to be together; the essence of our most fundamental work – live, orchestral music – can only truly be experienced when we collectively, musicians and audience, are present with and for one another. Rarely has this been felt more poignantly than during the Covid-19 pandemic. While our ability to be together in person has been paused, the joy and beauty created and inspired by live, orchestral music endures. As we close this season of One Thousand and One Nights, we again celebrate storytelling and share it in new forms in our Raise the Baton events and opportunities.
