Tis the Season to Decorate! The Downtown Association of Yakima (DAY) will once again, bestow the Snowflake Award to a Downtown Yakima business with the most festive holiday decorations. The Downtown Association appreciates all the businesses who get in the holiday spirit and the Snowflake Award is a way of bringing attention to the festive environment created by our downtown businesses.
Businesses can enter in two categories: Interior and Exterior. They can enter their business by sending an email to director@downtownyakima.com or commenting on the Facebook post announcing the contest on the Downtown Yakima Facebook page. The deadline for submission is this Friday, December 13th, End of Day. Judges from the DAY Promotions Committee will be visiting the businesses December 14th – December 19th with the winner scheduled to be announced on December 20th.
“The Snowflake Award is another way to recognize our fabulous Downtown Yakima community,” says DAY Executive Director, Andrew Holt. “This year, the Promotions Committee wanted to recognize businesses in two categories. We really hope that folks come down and visit some of the businesses just to see what they have done because some of them do an incredible job decorating.”
Each winner will receive the attractive Snowflake Award trophy and a picture to be featured on the DAY Facebook page.
