Sip & Stroll, a Craft Beverage Walk November 9th

Drink Yakima and the Downtown Association of Yakima will host the 5th Annual Sip & Stroll, Craft Beverage Walk in Downtown Yakima on Saturday, November 9th, from noon to 5 pm. The popular beverage tasting event will feature 14 venues (3 newly added), 14 craft beverage producers (1 newly added), 6 restaurants, entertainment, and festivities at each stop.

How do you enjoy Sip and Stroll? Folks can buy their tickets online or purchase them “day of” at the check-in point. Patrons receive a souvenir tasting glass with 5 scrip – one taste per scrip – and a map to help them in their strolling. They will find a Drink Yakima craft beverage producer at each stop, featuring their finest products at a participating business in the Downtown Yakima corridor. Businesses will feature special sales, promotions, food, and even entertainment for those attending the event, based on the venue. Some of the festivities will include free 15-minute massages at Day Spa Academy, live music and delicious chocolates at MAK Daddy Coffee Roasters, fresh delicious chili at Alexandra’s on Second, Second Street Grill gift card giveaways and “small bites” at Stephens Media Group,  and Carousel French Cuisine featured at WildJay’s Boutique, just to name a few.

The event has grown from 11 to 14 venues with Collab Coffee, Leading Force Energy and Design, and MAK Daddy Coffee Roasters being added to this year’s lineup. Wandering Hop joins the craft beverage offerings for the first time as each venue will spotlight one producer, providing for a more intimate experience.

Those attending the event will want to keep their wristbands on as they can take advantage of specials at sponsoring restaurants after the event. Those restaurants are Norms of Yakima, Carousel French Cuisine, The Sports Center, Cowiche Canyon Kitchen, Yakima Steak Company, and Second Street Grill.

If folks want to continue to taste but have used their 5 scrip, no problem! There will be a scrip station at check-in and at 4 of the venues: MAK Daddy Coffee, Collab Coffee, Stems, and Kameo Flowers. Check-in is at 16 N. 3rd Street, the old K & K building next to Ron’s Coins and Collectibles.

Tickets are $20 per person. They can be purchased online or the day of the event at check-in. Both cash and card will be accepted.

Sip and Stroll, formerly known as Craft Beverage Walk, was created to bring more folks into Downtown Yakima businesses while featuring the area’s growing craft beverage industry. Last year, the event saw attendance more than double to nearly 1,000 participants. Tickets will be capped at 1,4000 this year, so buy your tickets today!
