Downtown Summer Nights Starts June 13th

The seventh annual Downtown Summer Nights, Presented by Solarity Credit Union, will return to historic North Front Street in Yakima, Washington for 10 consecutive Thursdays this summer (with the
exeption of July 4th), starting June 13, 2019. Each Thursday concert will run from 6PM to 9PM and will feature one regional or nationally touring act and one local act. The Beer Garden will feature local craft beverages and will be open to patrons over 21 years of age. The Kids Area will feature games and activities for kids each week. This is a free event that is open to the community and is produced by the Downtown Association of Yakima, in conjunction with Chinook Fest.

This 10 week concert series has become a summer staple in Yakima, and the community continues to embrace it year after year. With local food & art vendors featured and a kids’ area, this is a family friendly event that serves as a perfect way to celebrate the home stretch of the work week.

The team at Chinook Fest, once again, has taken great care in bringing notable acts from around the country to the Yakima Valley. This year is no exception. The lineup for Downtown Summer Nights 2019 is listed below and consists of regionally and nationally touring bands paired with local favorites week in and week out.

Downtown Summer Nights is planned and coordinated by the Downtown Association of Yakima (DAY) in partnership with Chinook Fest, as DAY pursues its mission of making Downtown Yakima a Great Place to Work, Play and Live. Downtown Summer Nights, along with the many other DAY managed events, is part of a larger effort to revitalize the downtown core.
“Events are a prominent piece to what we are trying to achieve in Downtown Yakima,” says DAY Executive Director,” Andrew Holt. “Downtown Summer Nights is a weekly event where folks can come
to the heart of Downtown Yakima and have a wonderful time with family and friends as they experience the best that Yakima has to offer in music, locally crafted beverages, and food.”
