ABOUT THE CHALK ART FESTIVAL
The 2017 Chalk Art Festival is a free family-friendly event that encourages both professional and art enthusiasts to join in on a day of fun art on the streets of downtown Yakima. This year’s theme is Dia de los Muertos. The community is encouraged to come out and celebrate this cultural holiday through art. Chalk will be provided to attendees. Attendees are also welcomed to vote for People’s Choice. Winning artist will receive a gift card for art supplies. Professional artists must contact DAY to reserve a spot and be considered for the People’s Choice contest by October 12th as limited space is available.

The Downtown Association of Yakima is a Main Street certified program and Nationally accredited since 2016. DAY is a private, nonprofit organization committed to the preservation, development, marketing and promotion of Downtown Yakima through focused efforts to build and maintain public and private partnerships that will foster financial and creative investments in our future while embracing and celebrating our history.
