The third annual FREE Lunch Time Live concert series in Performance Park kicks off on Friday, May 29th with the Vaughn Jensen Band. The series will run every Friday from May 29th culminating on June 26th. The concerts will go from 11:45 AM – 1:15 PM and each event will feature a local food vendor.
The first performance will be a local favorite out of Pasco, the Vaughn Jensen Band whose style includes blues and rock. They’ll be joined by HopTown Wood Fired Pizza who recently set up shop outside of the new Hop Nation Brewing Company.
The second concert in our series is on June 5th and features another local favorite, The Common Deer. The group mixes a unique blend of folks, blues with a hint of Americana and features cello, mandolin, guitar, harmonica, banjo, hand percussion, as well as vocal harmonies. Joining the group will be Carousel French Cuisine offering up a unique selection of lunch choices.
Seattle based musicians, Sarah Gerritsen and the Shadow Catchers will be playing on June 12th with guest Nick Foster. Sarah is a musical storyteller who weaves her Native American heritage into her music. The band’s style is Americana and they will be joined by food vendor, G.G. & B’s Designer Hot Dogs.
The Blackheart Honeymoon quintet out of Seattle play on June 19th. They often draw comparisons to Wilco, Ryan Adams and the New Pornographers. The food vendor for this event will be HopTown Wood Fired Pizza.
Rounding out the 5 series event is Shoot Jake on June 26th. Named Yakima’s favorite band in 2013, this blues group does not disappoint. They will be joined by Carousel French Cuisine.
