The Downtown Association of Yakima is pleased to announce the Lighting of the Larson Building on Monday, November 21st, 2016 at 5:30PM.
As part of large collaborative effort between downtown business owner Larry Hull, the Downtown Association of Yakima, the Yakima Arts Commission, the Millennium Foundation plus support from private donors, the Lighting of the Larson building will be a magnificent art installation that will bath the building in light.
As part of a several phase effort to light the entire building, phase 1 is completed and will kick off with a mini light show, live band and the turning on of the lights, which the public is invited to come participate in.
“The first week will feature colors of either the Huskies or the Cougars depending on who wins the bid at the upcoming Yakima Rotary Auction with the lights displayed up until the Apple Cup,” said Steve Weise, Design Committee Chair for the Downtown Association of Yakima. “Following weeks will feature holiday colors and can be seen anytime between dusk and 12 AM.”
Additional funding is still needed to complete the remaining phases of the project which would include lighting of the entire building. For information on how to donate to this project, please contact at firstname.lastname@example.org or 509-961-4172
