Yakima Symphony — National Heroes

Celebrating three composer who were considered National Heroes in their respective homelands:
Antonín Dvořák, Camille Saint-Saëns and Jean Sibelius.

John Michel returns to the Yakima Symphony stage as cello solosit.

Dvořák – My Homeland
Saint-Saëns – Cello Concerto No. 1
Sibelius – Symphony No. 2

Hosted by YSO Principal Hornist and Central Washington University School of Music professor Dr. Jeffrey Snedeker, ConcerTalks delve into the music performed on that evening’s performance. With your charming and witty host, ConcerTalks explore the composers of the works on the concert and their milieu as well as an in-depth look at each composition on the program.
