Celebrate harvest during Wine Yakima Valley’s “Catch the Crush” weekend.
Join the wineries of the Yakima Valley as they celebrate harvest during Wine Yakima Valley’s Annual Catch the Crush event, October 12 and 13, 2019. Each winery offers its own celebratory activities including grape stomps, harvest and crush activities, tours, free-run juice, hors d’oeuvres, live music, and of course. . .wine tasting.
Purchase a PREMIER PASS and enjoy exclusive benefits available only during this event weekend. PREMIER PASS holders will be able to experience a variety of specialty Catch the Crush food pairings, library tastings, and tours not available to the public.
Passes are non-refundable.
Heading to Wine Country? Don’t forget: A jacket and a good pair of shoes. Your Premier Pass! It’s your ticket to all the exclusive benefits. A wineglass! Wineries can’t provide enough glasses during event weekends so please bring one from home or purchase one at your first stop. And of course, your photo I.D. and a designated driver! Following is an at-a-glance look what wineries are providing for Catch the Crush weekend.
Yakima Area Wineries
AntoLin Cellars. Catch The Crush at AntoLin Cellars means Premier Pass holders will enjoy a waived tasting fee. Tasting fee also waived with 12-bottle case purchase. Kick off your Catch The Crush weekend right on Friday night with live music: TBA. Music starts at 7pm, No Cover. While you’re tasting Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, have food delivered to your table by Local Purveyors. Hours: Friday 1pm – 9pm, Saturday 12pm – 7pm, Sunday 12pm – 4pm.
Freehand Cellars welcome to Yakima’s newest winery with a spectacular view. Freehand Cellars is located at 420 Windy Point Drive in Wapato, WA., just down the road from Owen Roe and Treveri. Visit during Catch the Crush weekend and enjoy food by Heroes Pizza, live music by Entice the Mice, handmade lawn games, and special wine discounts! Buses are welcome with an appointment made 24 hours prior to the appointment time. Tasting fees are waived with purchase.
JB Neufeld $10 tasting fee waived for Premier Pass holders. Pouring small verticals only available at winery. 2015 Yakima Valley Cab Sauv and just released 2016. Pouring 2016 Two Blondes Vineyard designate Cab Sauv and the not yet released 2017. Tasting on just released Old Goat Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. 12-4. Gilbert Cellars Join us for an educational and vibrant weekend at the Downtown Tasting Room and Winery! Downtown Tasting Room: Enjoy a Catch the Crush Flight featuring 2019 tank samples, current releases, and new releases. These tastes are complimentary for Premier Pass holders, $10 without a pass. Tasting fees refunded with a two-bottle purchase. Fill a Gilbert Cellars wine tote and receive 10% off your entire purchase. Hours: 10/12 11am-9pm 10/13 11am-6pm. No tastings after 5pm, glass and bottle service only 5-9pm.
Kana Winery Producing wine since 2002. Saturday 10- 5pm: Taste select wines Catch the Crush Weekend. Specializing in Rhone Varietals, five red wines, two white wines. With special discounts upon purchase. Music- Rock n Roll 6-10pm location 10 S. 2nd St
Owen Roe Stop into the winery from 11-5pm for a sneak peek at 2019 harvest. We will feature a selection of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and our popular Owen Roe blends. Enjoy mingling with our crew and fellow wine enthusiasts while we finish up our wonderful harvest. Tacos Don Chayo will be joining us Saturday, October 12th, so come hungry and enjoy some delicious tacos with a side of wine! Event tasting fee is $10. Premier Pass holders and club members will receive waived admission.
Treveri Cellars Join us for Catch the Crush as we celebrate harvest in wine country! We will be featuring an on-site food vendor as well as offering 15% off mixed case purchases. As always, we will have chilled bubbles waiting for you! Tasting fee waived for Premier Pass holders.
Wilridge Winery & Vineyard Open 11-7 Friday Saturday and Sunday. Live music Saturday and Sunday 2-5 by the Mongrels featuring Rod Giles! Grape stomp Friday through Sunday. Vineyard tours at 2 pm. Tasting fees refunded with purchase.
